Investors are looking to get their second homes based on their passion and are developed more as holiday space rather than just financial investment. Recently the trend for plots with amenities is getting substituted with themed plots thus offering that little extra based on the inventors passion. These themed plots are getting lot of traction form IT –Professionals and ultra-rich investors.
Gulam Zia, executive director of advisory, retail and hospitality at realty consultancy Knight Frank India echoed similar views as he opined that developers are tapping these markets in suburbs of cities to attract the buyers. He also stated that the investor sentiment has altered form just investment to more of a second holiday home.
Top developers like Wings Lifespaces, Puranik Capitol and Century Real Estate are certainly tapping the market and has plots based on themes like stadiums, European living. Some of them even have manmade forests to offer for the investors. The theme specific plots are developed based on art; sports yoga and thus the buyer get these amenities on buying the plot by paying a small maintenance fee.
Raj Chattha, a marketer shared his interests on the sports themed plots and voiced his opinion on how these investments offer good returns in long run. He also shared his idea of getting a house with indoor mini-golf course and has plans to develop based on sports theme.
Ravindra Pai of Century Real estate which has three themed projects Century Sports Village, Century Artizan and Century Eden based on sports, art and sustainable living opined that the close accessibility to airport offers the buyers for getting-in easily into the plush green developments and offers them to build their holiday homes based on their interest with all other facilities available.
Wings Lifespace has developed Karjat Water in Karjat which is a resort themed and has a bird sanctuary. One of their projects in Khopoli named Malgudi farms has horticulture and agriculture. Punam Mishra also stated about their project Des in Plaghar has an Ayurvedic park and yoga rooms and warli paintings.
